Idea about Samrat Ashoka

This is a short life history of SAMRAT ASHOK.

Samrat ashoka was born in about 304 B.C. and he became the 3^rd king of Mauryan empire. His father name was Bindusara. In young stage of Samrat Ashoka – he was killed his own brothers for becoming the king. He fought lots of battles and ruled over all 75% of ancient India. A great suddenly changed his life cycle. This battle was known as WAR OF KALINGA. Kalinga was currently known as Orissa. The loss of life, killing innocent peoples, loosing own peoples hurts Samrat Ashoka. It brought a complete change in samrat’s life. Samrat Ashoka completely changed and later he was called as Buddhist. The emperor trying to apply Buddhist principles to the administration of his vast empire. He tried to spread the words of Buddha in India an abroad. He was died in 232 B.C. in the 38^th year of his reign.
